As a research technician you will be working in a translational research group, that focuses on the development of novel onco-immunology treatment strategies, and you will be driving new ideas into solid data. You will be part of a team with diverse backgrounds and work on various projects, all with the aim to get our research a step closer to the patient. Your daily activities span a range from high throughput cloning to in vitro proof of concept experiments with the new receptors. Additionally, validating novel leads using in vivo xenograft models will be part of your activities.
The work will be located at the Kuball laboratories under the supervision of Dennis Beringer at the Center for Translational Immunology at the UMC Utrecht. Our group focuses on the use of gamma-delta T cells and their receptors for the immunotherapy for cancer. We offer an international environment, highly innovative and motivated team with strong collaborations worldwide.
You have at least B.Sc. degree in biomedical sciences (or a related topic) and experience with molecular biology techniques and protein expression and purification is a must. Furthermore, being qualified to conduct experiments with small animals in the Netherlands (Art.13f2b/Art.9) is considered a big plus. Moreover, you are able to master new techniques quickly and work on multiple different projects in the same period. You are expected to communicate and document your results in English.
