Assistant Controller

About the position

The role of an Assistant Controller at Ecraid offers you get the opportunity to grow and develop in an international and dynamic environment. You will be collaborating closely with the Financial controller and Project controller. Your responsibilities will span a broad spectrum, including: 

  • Processing and controlling incoming invoices in AFAS-eConnect
  • AFAS Workflow management
  • Preparing payments
  • Processing bank statements, credit card transactions, VAT and ICP declarations
  • Invoicing of projects
  • Checking suspense accounts
  • Supporting the Financial Controller in preparing budgets and forecasts
  • Supporting the Finance Team in preparing the audit and annual accounts
  • Supporting the with monthly and ad hoc financial reports and internal project reporting
  • Preparation of monthly hours reporting in PowerBI
  • Support the Project Controller in managing project files in AFAS
  • Assist with external EU & ZonMW project reports 
  • Assisting with the project planning in PURE planning system

Ecraid is a autonomous non-profit organisation, originating from the EUPG department within UMCU.

At Ecraid, we are committed to advancing clinical research in the field of infectious diseases by establishing a long-term, financially self-sustainable, clinical research network in Europe. Our mission is to join forces and collaborate to efficiently deliver high-impact studies. Headquartered in Utrecht, the Netherlands, Ecraid is the first network of its kind in Europe to offer a single point of access to a pan-European clinical research network for infectious diseases that spans over 1,250 clinical sites and 900 laboratories in 42 countries. 

Your profile

To excel in this position, you should possess the following knowledge, skills and experience:

  • MBO degree in business economics or a related field
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
  • Proficiency in Excel and BI tools
  • Fluency in English and Dutch
  • Familiarity with the AFAS ERP system is an advantage

Our offer

  • A salary between €2,931 and €4,119 gross per month (salary scale 7), based on full-time employment (36 hours).
  • The duration of your contract is initially for 1 year, with a possibility of extension to an additional 3 years.
  • Year-end bonus of 8.3% and holiday allowance of 8%.
  • Pension insurance with ABP. We take care of approximately 70% of the monthly contribution.
  • The option to select additional employment benefits in exchange for gross salary, such as purchasing a bicycle and memberships.
  • Internal and external training possibilities.
